Driving Instructor Test
The theory test (part 1)
This exam consists of two parts; you have to pass both parts at
the same time to progress to the next stage.
The first part is a multiple choice of 100 questions; the second
part consists of 14 video clips each lasting 1 minute. You gain
marks by identifying the developing hazards.
The driving test (part 2)
Lasts about 1 hour and test your driving skill to a very high
standard. The test will cover many types of driving skills e.g.
motorway, urban, rural, reversing etc.
The test of instructional ability (part 3)
The test last 1 hour, in that time you have to give practical driving
instruction to a DSA examiner. He or she will start by acting the
part of a learner driver who has little or no experience and then
a driver who is nearly test standard, just failed a test or a full
licence holder. You'll need to pass both Pre Set Tests at the same
time.
