Theory Test
The theory test is a two-part test, which needs
to be passed before you can take the practical driving test.
The first part of the test is a computerised multiple-choice
test of 50 questions you need to answer at least 43 correctly to
pass this part of the test. The second part is called the hazard
perception test which consists of 15 video clips, you need to identify
the hazards as they occur, the sooner you notice the hazard the
higher mark you will get. You need to score a minimum of 44 out
of 75.
You must pass both parts of the test at the same
time. The test certificate is valid for 2 years.
You are allowed to take driving lessons before
taking the theory test; this will help you gain valuable experience
for the theory and hazard perception test.
At 1ST CHOICE we give FREE CD-ROM hire to all our
pupils to help them pass this test.
